Alexander Giehl

Art Assistant

Alexander Giehl is a genderqueer multidisciplinary artist at play in the field of pause, both seriously and silly-ly. Driven by creative problem solving and the interplay between media and experience, Alexander’s practices include poetry, printmaking, painting, punk rock, and spinning in circles (among other shapes), all of which they studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Interested in prehistory, evolution and the domestication we have wrought upon the Earth, Alexander abstains from both eating animals and driving an automobile. As a humanist and a queer anarcha-feminist, Alexander looks to Art to question the perceptions of our far-flung society and to be a platform for the exchange of information necessary to fight intersectional systems of oppression.
