When Kentucky gave businesses the green light to start serving customers in restaurants again, the City of Covington needed a campaign in place fast. The campaign needed to emphasize COVID-19 safety practices for both restaurant owners and patrons, with the hope of creating a shared responsibility to open safely and successfully.
The solution was ReCov: a campaign and message of compassion and hope for recovery in a COVID-19 world. We built an identity in five days that was direct, communal, and engaging with clear messaging and guidelines matched with vibrant Kentucky colors. ReCov presented the process of businesses recovering from COVID-19 as a step by step process, each aimed at a different audience. Reopen responsibly (businesses) + respect the social distancing guidelines (patrons) = ReCover Covington successfully (for all).
